This class answers many of the very first questions that beginning photographers have about their digital SLR cameras and lenses. Though it is not required that you have taken any of our classes to take this course, it is the perfect next step for those who have completed our exposure or composition classes.  (Gift Cards for this class are available.)

A comprehensive handout of the PowerPoint lecture is provided. This is so don't have to take notes during the class and to have a valuable resource to guide you in the future.

This photography class is the first in a series that teaches many fundamental principles related to cameras, lenses, filters, and photography in general. Information covered in this class include:

• Lenses (magnification, angle of view, aperture, crop factor, etc.)

• Making Sharp Images
• Depth of Field
• Hyperfocal Distance (getting everything in focus)

  As with all of Mike's presentation, he has created a very visual and poignant PowerPoint program that clearly illustrates the various photographic principles and techniques.

  COURSE AGENDA

  The initial session takes place at Mike's home and studio in Downers Grove (a suburb of Chicago, Illinois). You will receive a presentation that will teach you the various fundamentals and techniques.

  Because this class is primarily informative and not hands-on, there is no limitation on attendance. However, during the snow season, the maximum is 7 participants due to limited parking. So, please register quickly to insure a spot.
